Repacking of relief goods at DSWD Davao

Nothing could have prepared the country for the aftermath of Typhoon Yolanda. For a nation so used to calamities ranging from earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and typhoons, the category 5 Yolanda exposed how ill-prepared and vulnerable we are as a nation.

The emotions are overwhelming even for us who are mere spectators of the horrors and grief that continue to unfold in the areas destroyed by the typhoon. The need of those who are suffering is great. And it is immensely edifying to see people everywhere doing whatever they can to help. To fellow Filipinos, local and international aid organizations, donor countries, and everyone helping out those who have been hit by this storm, THANK YOU.
